The stable
Trainer Jay C. Nehf
With over 50 years in racing and breeding Thoroughbreds, Jay has worked with, and indeed raised from birth, some top notch racehorses including Dontstop Themusic, Grade I winner of over $960,000, and Mitterand Grade I winner of over $440,000. As breeding manager for the Winick family's Delray Training Center, he worked with several of the industry's top stud farms such as Spendthrift, Gainesway, Darby Dan and the great Calumet Farm.
As a private trainer, Jay has always campaigned a small stable, usually one to three horses. So far in 2020 the stable is 33% in the money with one win and one second in six starts.
Partner and videographer Cynci Cutter
Cynci has been a Thoroughbred owner and founding partner in Cutter Nehf Racing Stable. She is a hands on horsewoman who assists in every aspect of the stable operation. Cynci is a practitioner of the Masterson Method of equine massage. She is also the stable's videographer, filming our horses' workouts for evaluation and analsysis. Santa Anita Park
One of the world's great race tracks and frequent host of the Breeders' Cup, Santa Anita is our home base. Located in Arcadia, California, just northeast of Los Angeles, Santa Anita provides excellent year round weather. Santa Anita is the only U.S. race track to provide the latest veterinary diagnostic equipment; nuclear scintigraphy, PET scan and MRI. Santa Anita's management, veterinary community and trainers work closely with the University of California veterinary school in both research and consultation.
